Every year on the last Saturday of April, Rebuilding Together Hartford joins affiliates across the country to provide free home repairs to low-income homeowners who are elderly, disabled, military veterans, and families with children who are unable to repair their homes themselves. Thousands of community volunteers nationwide fix-up the homes and yards of those in need so that they can live in a safer, more comfortable and pleasant environment. In Hartford, we have approximately 500 community volunteers who help around 20 to 25 homeowners every year.
The next National Rebuilding Day is on Saturday, April 25, 2020. We will be working on 21 houses in Hartford’s South End on Brown, Campfield, Douglas, Gilman, Otis, Preston, and Winship Streets.
Registration is now open. From the link below you will be taken to the Rebuilding Day Registration page. From there select the volunteer group you are volunteering with. If you are not affiliated with a volunteer group you can sign up as a general volunteer or for a specific job (registration, hospitality or occupational therapy)
