Rebuilding Together Hartford Welcomes  a New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Rebuilding Together Hartford (RTH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald Chapman as the Incoming Executive Director. Rebuilding Together Hartford is a nonprofit dedicated to helping low-income homeowners through home renovation and repair. Their vision is safe homes and communities for everyone.

“I’m proud to be a part of this organization because of its pure mission ‘Healthy and safe homes for homeowners’. I fell in love with Hartford because its neighborhoods are really what holds the city together. It’s a city of neighborhoods more than it is a city of insurance. And while the neighborhoods have suffered, I am happy to have a hand in this organization that will be a part of the change for generations to come in our communities.”

Preceding his role as Executive Director, Mr. Chapman served as the Principal Planner of the city of Hartford for 15 years.  In addition, he has volunteered for a variety of Greater Hartford nonprofits including: The Open Hearth, The Board of Hartford Loan Fund and The Bushnell Park Foundation.

“We are very excited to have Don join our Rebuilding Together team. His experience with nonprofits and his strong relationships within the City of Hartford will be highly valuable for us as Rebuilding Together plans our continued and strengthened future for improving homes and communities in Hartford, shares RTH’s Board Chair, Stephanie Fulbright.

Retiring Executive Director Sarah Thrall has led Rebuilding Together Hartford through some of the toughest times in the world’s history and was able to bring hope to homeowners since 2019. She will stay on as a consultant and work alongside Rebuilding Together Hartford as they aim for safe and healthy homes.
