Safe & Healthy Home Resource Fair

Every year on the last Saturday of April, alongside Rebuilding Together Hartford's National Rebuilding Day event, RTH hosts a resource fair centered on safety and health. The Safe & Healthy Home Resource Fair encapsulates a collective effort to fostering resilience and community well-being. Assembling a diverse array of organizations, from the local health department to community organizations to safety advocacy groups from all throughout the Hartford area. This event serves as a platform for disseminating vital information on topics like emergency preparedness, mental and physical health support, but also supplies the attendees with Rebuilding Together Hartford's vital Safe & Healthy Home kits. These kits have key safety items including a fire extinguisher, smoke and CO detectors, flash lights, and more that will keep you and your home safe from danger.

She Builds

Rebuilding Together Hartford's She Builds program features community revitalization projects that create real change for women. She Builds provides critical home repairs to women in need and revitalizes community centers providing services to women and their families. The event series includes home repair trainings to give women the confidence and skills to maintain safe and healthy homes. According to the National Women's Law Center, more than one in seven women and more than one in five children live in poverty. More than half of those children live in families headed by women, and most don’t have a spouse’s income to rely on to support their family. Together we can increase the health and safety of their homes, and empower women to become change makers in their communities.

Team Service Projects

Are you interested in a rewarding team-building activity? Reach out to Rebuilding Together Hartford and we can coordinate a day of service that will encompass your team aiding someone in need. This special project is specifically customized to the skill levels and availability of those in your team. Most projects can be completed by unskilled volunteers and include painting, yard work, cleaning and carpentry.
